I’ve used Mac’s kohl pencil liner religiously for years, but recently this liquid liner has replaced my old standby. Using a liquid liner was intimidating at first, but the fine felt tip makes it easy to stay close to the lashline, giving precision and the illusion of fuller lashes. Of course you can always go bold with a thicker swipe or a cat-eye, but I love having the option of creating a razor-thin line. Dries very quickly too!
‘Butter’ is accurate to how it feels on lips: creamy, comfortable and smooth. This particular color is not at all flashy, so it’s perfect for the workplace or just an everyday natural look. It’s a warm pinky-brown with a glossy finish. As a person with a warm fair-medium skin tone, I’d say Pink Truffle is perfect for that “my lips, but better” look. Of course, if this color doesn’t appeal, there’s plenty of other lip butters to choose from, which I’m trying to hold myself back from buying. If you’re interested in how it looks on, this photo is pretty accurate.
It’s the most finely-milled face powder I’ve ever used, which is to say it looks completely natural and not at all cakey or chalky. The coverage is sheer, but it’s buildable if you need it to be. I mostly just use it to set my concealer, but I’ll sometimes use it over my entire face if my skin is looking a little uneven and it does a good cover-up job. Milani products are so fantastic (except for their watery nail polishes), it almost surprises me that they’re a drugstore brand. My only complaint is the clunkiness of the packaging.
The Body Shop Coconut Cream Body Scrub and Coconut Body Butter
The combination of the two have been my skin saviors this very dry and horrible winter. The exfoliator does a great job sloughing away all the dead skin. The proof is in the elbows! They’re baby’s bottom-smooth. The rich body butter feels so luxurious on skin. And the smell? Oh, it’s heaven. But like a really beachy heaven.
