serenity now

Spotted at the Middlesex County Fair, August 2011

I am hugely relieved that it’s Friday. It’s been a pretty crazy week for me, but only crazy because I tend to make mountains out of mole hills in my head and as a result, put a whole lot more stress on myself. Ever do that? I’m famous for it! I’d love to hash it out here, but it’s honestly the most boring work story about people not responding to my VERY IMPORTANT TIME-SENSITIVE emails. In retrospect, it’s never as big of a deal as I make it out to be, certainly not to the point where I’m giving myself headaches. And definitely not to the point where I’m calling whoever will listen to me to vent, “Can you believe this?! Who doesn’t answer emails?! Who?!”.

So here’s to overreacting! And the much-needed 3-day weekend! For some of us anyway.

At first I was like, why should I turn my room into a spooky forest? Then I clicked on the link. I want to turn my room into a spooky tourist!!!!

Here’s to a three day weekend to recover from this week–I need it!

  3. I’ve felt that way many times! Whenever you have to deal with other people, expect problems. I like to work on projects by myself. LOL Have a great weekend.

I’ve been waiting for an email for a week, and frankly it may never come which is only more disappointing. Someone told me that someone had asked them for my email address (to talk about a job) and so now I’ve just been waiting to hear from them. EMAIL ME people.
In other words, I totally get what you’re saying.

  5. As my husband likes to say: “you big things up in your head”! So I can totally relate. And as for people not responding to emails, I get that every day! It seems to be quite common in the workplace which is so frustrating because I tend to respond to emails quite quickly and expect people to do the same! Hope your weekend was restful!
