i want to shop ’til i drop

Unknowingly, I went on a clothes shopping strike. I haven’t shopped in what seems like forever, but is actually about three months (which isn’t very long at all, depending on who you ask).

I have that itch to shop. It starts with fashion blogs, then it goes into pinning and then it goes into heavy coveting. And now I’m left with this almost uncontrollable urge to go on a buying spree. The way it plays out in my head is like a scene right out of a teen movie, with a montage of me and my friends trying on all kinds of ridiculous outfits in the dressing room, while some really awesome ’90s girl rock blasting in the background.

Point is…I really want to go shopping.

{I’m digging on Madewell’s new arrivals at the moment}

    I'm also on an unintentional shopping embargo, mainly due to a distinct lack of funds. My current plan is to flog some old clothes on eBay then buy some more! These pictures are so lovely :)

    Oh, I'm in the same boat as you! I'll usually end up not shopping for the longest time, then I WILL go on a spree. My spree is probably coming up soon…

    I'm still on my shopping ban and I'm trying not to look at anything so I won't be tempted.

    What you described you envision as a shopping spree is exactly what plays out in my mind too. I'm ready to shop for spring and summer clothes. I'm so over winter!

    A new vintage shop has just opened in my area, and I haven't spent any money on clothes in a while… I think I feel a shopping spree approaching!

    I've been fighting the urge myself, I think it's the after Christmas buying ban that always puts me in this place as spring approaches. Oy.

    All of your photos are so lovely! Im already planning on trying that tomato sauce recipe below! I deffinitely have just done my massive shopping spree (and now am poor again haha) , but it was worth it I think! At least its spread some new light and refreshed my wardrobe! Just do it; you know it will be worth it! Unlike me though, perhaps you should set a budget and stick to it 😉 x

    I know exactly what you are talking about! I start to get really twitchy and antzy after I haven't shopped for a while (gosh, it sounds like I have a problem now) and then I just want to buy everything in sight! Be warned though, it's a lot like grocery shopping when you are hungry!

    Whoa, a 3-month shopping drought is quite a letdown, don’t you agree? I can actually feel your urge to go for shopping. If that day comes, will you bring someone with you? Like some friends or family. That will make your shopping day even more satisfying!
