See, I told you I wasn’t done with pumpkin.
I’m a big fan of milkshakes (that’s evident here and here), so when I came across the pumpkin pie milkshake, it was only natural for me to bookmark and save. After all, when you’re combining two delicious things like pie and milkshake, how could you not?
Pumpkin Pie Milkshake (adapted from Food.com)
*these measurements are approximate, as I tend to use more or less of each ingredient based on my taste preferences.
1/3 cup canned pumpkin
2 cups vanilla ice cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or make your own – it’s incredibly easy!)
a few pinches of brown sugar for garnish (optional)
a few pinches of cinnamon for garnish (optional)
whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Blend all ingredients together in blender.
Rim the glass with a mix of the optional brown sugar and cinnamon (I used agave syrup to get it to stick).
Pour blended contents in glass. Top with whipped cream.
As the name suggests, this is exactly the sweet and spicy taste of pumpkin pie. So all you pie lovers can appreciate it as I surely did. Pumpkin pie is a fall staple and should be consumed, if not in pie form, then in this yummy milkshake.
